Introduction to Elevator Geared Motor
An elevator geared motor is one of the main components used in geared traction elevator systems. It is responsible for providing the required power to move the cabin and counterweight. This series of elevator motors uses a geared power transmission system to provide suitable torque and controlled cabin movement.
Using an elevator geared motor is considered a suitable option for many projects due to its practical structure, reliable performance, and economic efficiency. Structure and Operation of Elevator Geared Motor
In an elevator geared motor, the power generated by the electric motor is transferred to the traction sheave through the gearbox assembly. By reducing rotational speed and increasing output torque, the gearbox provides the required conditions for safe and controlled movement in the elevator traction system.
This series uses a gearbox ratio of 1:43. The traction sheave is designed with a diameter of 550 mm and, depending on the model, is used with 10 mm wire ropes and a suitable number of grooves according to the elevator capacity.
